To All My Ladies

Since we are in the midst of March, meaning Woman’s History Month. I wanted to give a special shoutout to ALL MY LADIES. Women in television have been creating paths and breaking barriers every single day. Talented females such as Lucille Ball and Mary Tyler Moore prove that they can be without a husband on tv and still rock out ratings. Laughter is the cure for everything. And thanks to them and so many more, we have amazing shows that feature strong, funny women.

What I Like About You

Two sisters leaving together. One is a teenager , the other an adult, that is two different personalities and attitude in one house. They argue constantly about everything especially since one sister is a career driven woman and the other sister just want to have fun. This show really surprised me because there chemistry together is hilarious.

Young and Hungry

Gabi is just an aspiring chef, living with her roommate and working for a tech millionaire. Everything would be great, if she didn’t have feelings for her boss. Gabi just needs to stay focused, but it’s hard when problems always seem to arise. One day she’ll get it together, but for now she’s rolling with it.

Girlfriends

One of the highest-rated scripted shows on television among African-American adults 18-34, from 2000-08 Girlfriends was most talked about show. About 4 strong black women living life. In a female squad, there is always the mother, the sex rabbit, the strong firm one and party girl. These girls are our girlfriends.

Sister, Sister

What if you found out you had a twin sister? Party time. You’ll move in together, attend the same school and become an amazing duo. A boy crazy twin and a book smart twin having to deal with high school, family, college and just life all around. They take us on this journey and make you wish you had a twin.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch

On her 16th birthday, Sabrina finds out she is a witch and has magical powers. I think that’s really cool, but I’m guessing it’s not since she usually messes up spells all the time. Good thing she has her aunts guiding her through. But will Sabrina ever get to tell her best friend or even her boyfriend that she’s a witch?

Another special shout out to these ladies who prove that they can successfully carry out a show on their own. Applause.
